PianoMusic Ministry

First Advent Christian Church has a vibrant music ministry because we believe music is a vital way to praise and to worship God. Currently, we have an adult choir, an adult hand bell choir, and an orchestra. Participation in all music ensembles and programs to church members and visitors.
Adult Choir
The Adult Choir is open to adults as well as middle and high school students who love to sing. We provide special music of various styles for each weekly worship service as well as special programs for Christmas and Easter. We look forward to opportunities for community involvement also. The choir rehearses each Wednesday from 7:15 until 8:15.

Handbell Choir
Handbell Choir participates in worship services periodically throughout the year and during special services such as those held on Easter and Christmas Eve. The group welcomes adult members as well as teenagers. At least minimal music reading skills are required to participate, however all with a desire to worship and expand musical knowledge are welcome. Please contact us for information regarding membership or engaging the group for public or private events.

Here at First Advent, we believe that instrumental music is one of the most powerful outlets of worship found in scripture. The First Advent Orchestra provides uplifting music of various styles during each weekly service. Anyone having completed at least two years of study on an instrument through the public school system, private lessons, or independently is invited to attend rehearsal, perform and enjoy making music for Christ. In addition to the main ensemble, smaller groups such as chamber winds and brass ensemble also provide music for worship periodically throughout the year. The orchestra is also involved in community outreach and is available for other church, private, and public engagements.

The group rehearses weekly in the sanctuary at First Advent Christian Church from 4:30pm-‐6:00pm.

For more information regarding joining the orchestra or engaging the group for a function please feel free to attend a rehearsal or contact us.

It is our goal to foster the growth of our children in the knowledge and wisdom of the Lord so they may be able to apply biblical principles to their lives enabling them to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with others.
